A reputable health system in Colorado is actively seeking a Director of Perioperative and Women's Services to join their team. This is a full-time, permanent position, working for a top-ranked health system in the area. Please note, to maintain the confidentiality of this client, the position location may be listed in surrounding cities from the facility itself. 
The Director of Perioperative and Women's Services will work for a non-profit health system, known for their acute care hospital, walk-in centers,, and speciality services. The Director of Perioperative and Women's Services will be based out of their state-of-the art acute care hospital known for their emergency, surgical and women's services department. 
Reporting to the Chief Nursing Officer, the Director of Perioperative and Women's Services will oversee overall operations of Perioperative Surgical Services including the Operating Room, PreOp, and PACU, along with Women Services which includes Labor Delivery, Mother Baby and NICU. The Director of Perioperative and Women's Services will be supported by a team of Nurse Managers, registered nurses, nursing assistants, and nurse educators. The Director of Perioperative and Women's Services will be a resource and advocate to their team through utilizing an open door policy, coaching and mentoring staff, creating a team oriented and collaborative working environment, being a transparent communicator, and initiating disciplinary action as needed. The Director of Perioperative and Women's Services is also accountable for managing the budget, assuring compliance to all standards policy and procedures, creating quality performance improvement initiatives, and preparing all accreditation and surgery material in a timely manner. 
The Director of Perioperative and Women's Services should be a nursing leader holding their RN license, and a clinical background working in an Operating Room. Ideally the Director of Perioperative and Women's Services  will hold or be willing to obtain their CNOR certification and Master's Degree. 
The Director of Perioperative and Women's Services will work in an area of Colorado that many would classify as Nature's Paradise. This area of Colorado is surrounded by mountains and rivers, perfect for mountain biking, hiking, and fishing. The town provides a community feel, and home to many working professionals and nature lovers. The Director of Perioperative and Women's Services  will enjoy eating at local restaurants, shopping at unique artisan boutiques, local breweries, historic museums, and more. The Senior Nursing Director will enjoy taking weekend trips to the Rocky Mountain National Park, other surrounding National Forests, Taos New Mexico, and more.
