SealingTech is seeking an experienced and strategic Director of Product Development to lead the development of our products.
This role involves overseeing the R&D process from ideation through development and testing, ensuring new products and solutions align with the company's strategic goals.
Your ability to collaborate across teams, manage product roadmaps, and drive innovative concepts will be essential to delivering high-quality, cutting-edge solutions.
The ideal candidate will possess strategic vision, technical expertise, and leadership experience, particularly in guiding hardware products through every phase of the development process.
Responsibilities include:
Foster a culture of innovation within the Product Development team, encouraging creative problem-solving and the exploration of new ideas.
Lead, mentor, and manage the Product Development team.
Promote collaboration within the team and across other departments.
Develop and implement the Product Development strategy in alignment with the company's overall objectives.
Identify emerging trends and technologies in cybersecurity to guide the direction of R&D efforts.
Collaborate with external partners, research institutions, and technology vendors to drive innovation.
Develop and maintain product roadmap, ensuring it aligns with both technical and business objectives.
Manage Product Development projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within scope, and within budget.
Track project progress, address challenges, and adjust strategies as needed to meet goals.
Implement quality assurance processes to ensure the reliability and effectiveness of developed solutions.
Collaborate with other departments to ensure alignment on product development and market launch.
Communicate R&D strategies, progress, and outcomes to senior leadership and key stakeholders.
Minimum Qualifications:
5+ years of experience as a Product Owner or in a similar role, with proven success in guiding products from R&D through market launch.
Proven track record of developing and successfully launching products.
Project management skills, with the ability to manage complex, multi-disciplinary projects.
Strong technical background, with the ability to collaborate with engineering teams.
Demonstrated experience planning and leading product release cycles.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels and clearly articulate product vision and progress.
Proven ability to lead and inspire cross-functional teams, fostering a collaborative and innovative environment.
Previous experience working with defense or technology-focused products is a plus.
Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
This role has a Director level position with a targeted base salary range of $120k to $170k.
Actual pay will be adjusted based on an individual's skills, experience, education, and other job-related factors permitted by law.
In addition to the anticipated salary, one will have the opportunity to qualify for an annual bonus.
