The Director of Product Development plays a critical role in leading the entire product development lifecycle, as they work closely with cross-functional teams to strategize, plan, and execute product development initiatives in alignment with the company's goals and market demands.
The ideal candidate will have knowledge of developing Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and the safety industry.
This position will be on-site, in office.

Responsibilities: Foster a collaborative and innovative team culture, encouraging continuous improvement, professional development, and a focus on achieving objectives.
Collaborate with executive leadership, stakeholders, and market research teams to define the product development strategy aligned with the company's vision and goals.
Conduct market research, competitor analysis, and customer feedback to identify new product opportunities and enhance existing products.
Develop and prioritize product roadmaps, ensuring they align with market needs, technology trends, and business objectives.
Oversee the entire product development lifecycle from concept to launch, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and meet quality standards.
Coordinate cross-functional teams (Design, Marketing, etc.)
to execute product development plans effectively.
Monitor project progress, identify potential risks, and implement mitigation strategies to keep projects on track.
Drive innovation and creativity within the product development process, encouraging the team to explore new ideas, technologies, and methodologies.
Champion the development of high-quality, user-centric products that meet market needs and differentiate the company from competitors.
Evaluate emerging technologies and industry trends to incorporate relevant advancements into product development strategies.
Collaborate closely with stakeholders, including executives, sales, marketing, and customer support teams, to align product strategies with overall company objectives.
Communicate product development progress, milestones, and challenges effectively to stakeholders, ensuring transparency and alignment across departments.
Requirements:High school diploma required.
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Marketing, Engineering, Business, or related fields) preferred.
Knowledge of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and the safety industry.
Experience with hand protection, respiratory and other head-to-toe safety items.
Proven experience (typically 8+ years) in Product Management, with at least 3-5 years in a leadership role overseeing Product Development teams.
Strong leadership and team management skills, with a track record of building and leading high-performing teams.
Excellent project management abilities with a focus on delivering projects on time and within budget.
In-depth knowledge of product development methodologies, market analysis, and product lifecycle management.
Exceptional written, verbal communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Dynamics, and Power BI or similar database applications.
California salary range: $135-$165K plus bonus eligibility based on experience, education and geographic location.
