Director of Product
South West London - Onsite (5 days) We are looking for an experienced Director of Product with a proven track record in e-commerce and logistics to join our leadership team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience as a product manager in the e-commerce or logistics sector, along with a minimum of 3 years in a management role.
As Director of Product, you will work with our Design and Engineering leads to ensure that Zapp is building the right features at the right time to help us achieve our short-term and long-term goals.
Responsibilities: Develop and execute a comprehensive product strategy that aligns with the company's overall vision and goals. Lead and inspire a cross-functional team of product managers and designers. Define and prioritize the product roadmap based on market trends, customer needs, and business objectives. Work closely with stakeholders across departments, including operations, marketing, and technology, to ensure alignment and successful product launches. Stay informed about industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitor offerings to inform product decisions and maintain a competitive edge. Oversee the end-to-end product development lifecycle, from concept and design to development, testing, and launch. Utilize data analytics and customer feedback to make informed decisions, measure product performance, and iterate on features. Identify potential risks and proactively implement strategies to mitigate them, ensuring successful product delivery. Domains: As Director of Product, you will own the following domains:
Customer-Facing: Our Android/iOS app and our newly launched website, which represent the main channels through which customers interact with our product. Commerce Platform: Our backend systems that handle customer data and order fulfilment, and power our front-end experiences Customer Service: Our backend systems that are responsible for helping our Customer Service team. Merchandising/Content Management: Our backend systems that allow Category Managers to merchandise different parts of the app/website. DC/Dark Store: All tech that powers our own DC and Dark Stores. Last Mile/Rider Experience: Frontend and Backend systems responsible for integrating with our first-party and third-party rider fleet. Supply Chain: Frontend and Backend systems responsible for managing supplier data and integrating with suppliers via APIs/EDI. Qualifications: Minimum 5 years of product management experience in e-commerce or logistics. Minimum 3 years of management experience, leading and developing high-performing teams of Product Managers. Proven track record of successfully launching and managing high-impact products. Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
