About the Role: Vast.ai is seeking a Director of Product to join our dynamic team as a pivotal contributor in shaping the future of our company. This high-impact role offers a ground-floor opportunity to craft the strategic direction of Vast.ai, working directly with the COO and CEO. As a Director of Product, you will oversee critical aspects of our product development, focusing on technical excellence and market leadership in GPU technologies and AI applications. This position demands an exceptional attention to detail and a strong emphasis on key performance metrics to drive product success and innovation.



Key Responsibilities: Dig into wireframing, analysis and key hypothesis formation for the core GPU offering and beyond. Work closely with the CEO and COO to refine product visions, ensuring that they fit within the broader corporate strategy and market needs. Lead, mentor, and scale a high-performing product management team, fostering an environment of accountability and growth. Establish rigorous metrics and evaluation processes to gauge product performance and drive continuous improvement. Engage directly with key customers and stakeholders to gather insights and feedback, ensuring our solutions are closely aligned with user needs. Drive innovation in AI and machine learning applications, ensuring that Vast.ai remains at the forefront of technological advancements. Example Projects: Implement and monitor product wide dashboards. Wireframe new onboarding flows from the marketing website into the product. Monitor all competitor interfaces, products and industry trends. Reimagine and reinvent key flows. You Are: Technically Proficient: While not necessarily an engineer (engineers are preferred), you have a strong understanding of the technology that powers your products, enabling productive collaboration with technical teams. A Decisive Leader: With a track record of leading teams to success, you inspire confidence and enthusiasm, empowering your team to execute product strategies effectively. Data-Driven: Your decisions are grounded in data, analytics, and user research. You use insights to drive development and measure the success of product initiatives. User-Focused: Deeply empathetic to user needs, you champion user-centric design and functionality in your products, ensuring they solve real problems in meaningful ways. Grit: In a fast-paced and ever-changing industry, you adapt strategies and processes quickly, always ready to tackle the next challenge. Organized and Focused: You manage projects with precision, prioritize tasks effectively, and never lose sight of the details that lead to high-quality outcomes. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience. 5+ years of product management experience within a technical domain, such as software engineering or solutions consulting. 3+ years of experience leading and managing technical teams or organizations, with a proven track record in strategic project delivery. 2+ years of experience in software engineering, preferably with exposure to AI and machine learning technologies. Demonstrated ability to drive outcomes through data-driven decisions and a keen focus on KPIs. Benefits: Full-Time, Monday - Friday. Onsite at the Vast.ai HQ in Westwood, Los Angeles.
