Modality agnostic drug discovery: our platform is capable of designing both small molecule and large molecule therapeutics across all disease areas, with an initial focus on neuroscience, oncology, and autoimmune diseases.Proprietary massive multimodal data, which overcomes the data scarcity problem that prevents frontier AI models from being utilized for drug discovery.Multi-AI agent systems that include a robust collection of frontier AI/ML models, each of which works in a task-oriented manner to achieve the multi-parameter optimization problem of drug discovery and development.A state-of-the-art (SOTA) fully-automated, high throughput wet laboratory in the premier Boston Seaport District for both data generation for AI model training as well as validation of the safety and efficacy of drug candidates that are outputted by our frontier AI models.An unprecedented partnership with Microsoft, which positions 1910 as the only biotech/pharma company leveraging Azure Quantum Elements, a groundbreaking, AI-driven, high performance computing (HPC) cloud architecture for advanced AI.Bespoke conversational AI chatbots that provide a customer friendly UI/UX to access our platform for specific drug discovery tasks.Being the only biotech company helping pharma companies integrate 6 core areas of AI infrastructure.Role Description Lead antibody discovery, engineering and molecular biology teams responsible for designing, generating and characterizing antibody-based therapeutics.Lead pipeline candidates from discovery to lead candidate selection and contribute to downstream development toward IND.Design and execute engineering campaigns, including complex multi-specific antibody campaigns.Lead technology development in antibody selection, engineering and molecular biology in collaboration with the AI Research, Machine Learning Engineering, and Computational Sciences teams.Develop and employ complex molecular biology workflows to rapidly generate constructs from a variety of in silico and biological sources.Interact and collaborate with leaders and teams across antibody optimization and protein sciences on project delivery and new technology development.Represent the scientific goals and interests at scientific conferences, partner meetings and other events.Establish a network of external partners from academia and industry to strengthen capabilities and capacity.Develop and manage research operating budget on a weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual cadence.Recruit and develop an antibody team, foster a culture of innovation that cultivates teamwork and improves performance.Partner with the Business Development & Alliance Management team to execute partnerships with Biopharma companies.Qualifications PhD in a relevant scientific area such as antibody discovery or protein engineering, protein biochemistry or biotechnology, plus a minimum of 10 years of professional experience in biologics research.Experience with diverse antibody discovery methods using in silico, in vitro and in vivo methodologies including rapid workflows for lead selection based on predetermined criteria.Experience using molecular biological methods for creating novel therapeutics from individual antibody and other protein binding components.Excellent communicator and highly effective in interacting with key internal and external stakeholders.Ability to establish high-level strategies for new drug technologies and apply new technologies to drug discovery.Team player and builder with excellent organizational and coaching skills.High degree of integrity and professionalism.High functioning in an environment dedicated to exceptional quality and integrity.Experience with NGS and/or antibody display platforms.Diversity and Inclusion (1910's Promise) At 1910, we believe that a diverse, equitable, and inclusive workplace furthers relevance, resilience, and longevity.
