This role will support the Shark Beauty team working closely with the VP of Global PR, the Shark Beauty VP of Marketing and Regional PR leadership and local in country teams.
Working cross-functionally, you will develop and deliver breakthrough PR work in close collaboration with the creative, social and paid media teams.
We are looking for a Director with beauty industry experience who exhibits critical thinking skills, develops strategic and creative programming with strong executional acumen.
The role is primarily focused on the US market with advice and counsel offered to other markets.
The PR team protects SharkNinja's reputation, promoting the brand and its products.
The role will be responsible for managing the development and implementation of the Shark Beauty PR strategy in line with business and objectives and in collaboration with our brand marketing, IMC and social teams.
This includes promoting the brand across all media types and categories - increasing efforts to deliver earned media outputs in beauty, lifestyle and trade media.
As the brand continues to grow, this will be a pivotal role in helping to drive awareness and consideration for Shark Beauty and all the award-winning products we bring to market.
This role will be responsible for creating and delivering successful PR campaigns to promote new product launches and will ensure integration with other marketing functions (digital, IMC, social, partnerships, and media) to maximize efficiency and ROI.
The role will also direct and manage a retained PR agency and support the development of the PR team across the US and global markets.
Here are some of the EXCITING things you'll get to do (RESPONSIBILITIES):
* Create the Shark Beauty PR strategy and manage the day-to-day PR activity working closely with the marketing teams to execute business strategy and objectives across the US market.
* Both create and guide the development of high-impact PR assets, including messaging, press releases, pitches, and other campaign assets.

* Build strong relationships with key beauty editors and lifestyle media in the US
* Understand and leverage relevant consumer and cultural trends
* Oversee output of local external PR agencies to implement reviews and awards programs for awards tracking, issues management and support for key brand and industry moments
* Manage and oversee written award entries across product ranges in local market
* Work with the wider business and external agencies to achieve monthly KPIs
* Communicate within the Global and Regional PR team regarding local priorities, product focuses, and campaigns on a regular basis
* Prepare and share best practices with regional and global teams
* Support always on PR activities within budget and wider campaigns within IMC briefs.
* Measure and evaluate - contribute to the ongoing evaluation of PR efforts and merchandise results with internal stakeholders
ATTRIBUTES & SKILLS (REQUIREMENTS):
* 8-10 years proven experience in beauty and consumer lifestyle PR
* A multi-tasker that can switch between strategy and tactics
* Communicate with external agency partners - directing them on projects and driving for results
* Prepare and share best practices with global teams
* Evaluate opportunities for partnerships on an on-going basis
* Maintain a keen understanding of industry trends to elevate campaign planning
* Be able to manage day to day media activities including sample ordering, review requests and strategic media targeting for gaining maximum results
* Build and maintain a strong media relationship with key editors
* Experience in managing PR campaigns with a wide range of objectives and KPIs
* Communicate with impact and have the ability to work well independently, as well as with different stakeholders across the business
* Solid media relations skills with existing relationships in beauty, consumer, lifestyle and trade press
* Experience in managing agencies (or coming from agency side)
* Passion for beauty

Salary Range for this position is $170,370.00 - $208,230.00 DOE
