Job Description
The Director of Quality will: Serve on the division's Senior Leadership Team and collaborate on strategic initiatives and Lean Six Sigma practices.
Oversee and maintain an effective QMS, ensuring ISO9001 compliance and alignment with customer requirements; regularly review and report to upper management.
Lead internal and supplier audits, host customer audits, and manage key customer relationships to meet quality standards.
Track and address Nonconformance costs and customer complaints, promoting a "Zero-defect" methodology to achieve quality goals.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives, mentor the Quality Team, and ensure effective staffing and leadership to support growth and maintain a positive culture.

The Successful Applicant
The Ideal Director of Quality (defense manufacturing) has the following experience: Education and Experience BS in a technical discipline (BSME/BSEE preferred).
8-12 years in an ISO manufacturing environment; cable/connectors or regulated industries preferred.
5+ years with Defense programs (Navy preferred).
7-10 years of supervisory experience.
Experience with Lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, and ASQ certifications (e.g., CQE, CRE, CQM, CQA) desired.
Proven ability to improve quality, cost, and delivery.
Strong in Problem Solving/Root Cause Analysis (FMEA/FTA).
