We are looking for a Director of Quality to join our team. The goal of the Director of Quality at Wisk is to enhance organizational excellence by ensuring rigorous adherence to quality standards spanning product, supplier, and quality systems, thereby safeguarding product safety and reliability. By leading the development and optimization of the Wisk quality management system, the role significantly contributes to operational efficiency and defect reduction. Additionally, the role aligns quality objectives with broader organizational goals, supporting strategic priorities and enhancing customer satisfaction through proactive resolution of quality-related issues. You will be the leader of the Quality team which reports to the VP, Certification, SMS, and Quality.
Due to the nature of the work required for this position, this is an onsite opportunity. You will be required to work from our Mountain View office.
In this role you will develop and oversee the Wisk quality management system and associated procedures, ensuring they meet industry standards and support company objectives. You will be responsible for cultivating a high performing team capable of exceeding expectations and objectives. It will be essential to foster a culture of continuous improvement by leading initiatives that focus on process optimization and employee training. In addition, you will provide strategic support to cross-functional teams by facilitating the development of their processes in alignment with quality goals and organizational priorities.
What you will do:As part of the Certification, SMS, and Quality organization, you will act as the Director of Quality for a novel type of aircraft development targeting the autonomous UAM market.You will take part in setting and driving completion of company goals.You will build and maintain a quality management system and lead the process to showing compliance with FAA 14 CFR Part 21.You will maintain a process assurance strategy to ensure internal, supplier, and sub-tier supplier compliance with ARP4754, DO-178, and DO-254.You will help to build a culture of excellence and championing quality at all levels of the organization.You will define and conduct training programs to ensure manufacturing, engineering, supply chain, and other employees are competent to fulfill their responsibilities.As a Director, you will serve as both the strategic quality leader across the organization as well as a tactical operator to help us improve as we grow.Requirements:Bachelor's Degree and 15 years work experience or equivalent experience.15+ years working experience in Quality Management through all stages of the product life cycle: prototyping, development, launch, and sustainment.Demonstrated experience in Quality Management Systems, including supplier quality, and working knowledge of PLM, MES, ERP, and QMS software tools.15+ years working experience in the Aerospace Manufacturing industry, with an innovative mindset and proven track record in both startup and large-scale manufacturing environments.Previous experience with establishing a 14 CFR Part 21-compliant quality management system.Experience with AS9100/ISO9000 in a global environment.Familiarity with DO-178B/C, DO-254, and ARP4754A/B process compliance and DO-160 qualification testing.Highly technical background spanning multiple engineering competencies and/or integrated systems, with a demonstrated ability to operate effectively in a startup environment while also thinking strategically and scaling quality operations.Strong leadership and people management skills with a passion for developing and mentoring team members as well as an ability to influence and collaborate with cross-functional partners and stakeholders.This role will require 25% of travel.$217,900 - $256,300 a year

Job Type: Full-time Pay Range the Company expects to pay: $217,900 - $256,300 per year - The starting base salary within this range for this role varies based on factors such as your geographical location, and your relevant job-related experience that is consistent with a business necessity.
