Position Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Director of Revenue Cycle to rebuild and lead our in-house billing department for a large, out-of-network surgical practice.
As we transition from outsourced billing, we are looking for a visionary leader with at least 5 years of experience in a private physician practice to establish efficient processes and optimize revenue cycle performance.
Responsibilities:
Rebuild and lead the in-house billing department. Oversee all aspects of the revenue cycle, including patient billing, insurance claims processing, and collections. Develop and implement strategies to optimize revenue cycle performance and improve cash flow. Manage and train a team of billing specialists and ensure adherence to established policies and procedures. Negotiate contracts with third-party payers and vendors. Stay current with industry regulations, including the No Surprise Act. Analyze financial data and prepare reports for management. Implement and maintain a robust electronic health record (EHR) system, preferably EClinicalWorks (ECW). Manage lockbox services, ERA, EFT, and other payment processing systems. Experience with Echo, Payspan, Jopari, Virtual Credit Cards, or similar services is a plus. Proficiency in Excel spreadsheets and PowerBI is essential. Experience with QuickBooks is a bonus.Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, finance, or a related field. Minimum of 5 years of experience in revenue cycle management for a private physician practice. Strong understanding of the No Surprise Act and its implications for out-of-network providers. Proven ability to lead and manage a team. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel. Experience with EClinicalWorks (ECW) is highly preferred.
