Job Description
The Grand Summit Hotel is actively searching for a highly motivated, detailed, and service-oriented Director of Sales to join our team of professionals.

The Grand Summit Hotel at Attitash, managed by Hay Creek Hotels, offers scenic views of the Mt. Washington Valley in New Hampshire. As the only ski-in, ski-out access on Attitash Mountain, the hotel offers 143 guest rooms, suites, and fully equipped studios with resort-condo amenities including outdoor heated pool and fitness center, reading and game rooms, dining outlets, and meeting space.

The Tap house is Grand Summit's signature gastropub featuring locally sourced oven roasted pizza, microbrews, and craft cocktails. The Black Diamond Grille also offers a convenient warm-up with fresh food to fuel guests throughout their stay.

The Grand Summit Hotel at Attitash offers one of the largest meeting and event complexes in the Mt. Washington Valley with over 12,000 sq. ft. of space for large-scale business meetings, retreats, and live events to special occasions and fairs.

Hotel concierge services guide our adventure-seeking guests with endless outdoor options year-round including hiking, mountain biking, kayaking, fishing, golf, cycling, cross country and alpine skiing, snowboarding, snowmobiling, snowshoeing, tubing, skating, and more.

Job Summary:
Direct the solicitation efforts of the sales department through effective oral and written communication while overseeing rate, date and space commitments for group room sales within the hotel.
Direct and manage all group, transient, and catering/banquet sales and activities to maximize revenue for the hotel.
Compile and/or direct the preparation of reports including annual and monthly forecast, marketing budget, lead management system, group booking pace report, STAR report, etc.
Attend and represent the hotel at selected trade shows or necessary community events.
Coordinate ongoing research of the travel industry to detect market trends and related information for development of new marketing strategies.
Develop and conduct persuasive verbal sales presentations to prospective clients.
Initiate preparation of annual sales plan and execute plans as outlined.
Maintain tracking system through sales system to ensure all client information and potential bookings and prospecting calls is documented.
Develop group rates, group sales and catering deployment strategies through review of competitive data, demand analysis and mix management.
Communicate and coordinate with front office manager, group bookings, room blocks, rooming lists and billing procedures.
Prepare all BEOs for group events providing timely and accurate information to clients and appropriate staff members.

Experience and Skills
Required Experience:
3+ years of Sales Management in a hospitality setting
Sales Force software experience
Strong leadership and effective written & verbal communication skills.
Must be extremely self-motivated and highly efficient
Must have exceptional interpersonal skills
Able to work a flexible schedule based on client needs, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Excellent computer skills needed
Ability to train, motivate, and supervise
Must have on-hand event catering and detailing experience
