About the Role: As the Director of Sales, you will be responsible for leading and overseeing all sales activities for the Four Seasons Los Angeles at Beverly Hills.
Your primary goal will be to drive revenue growth by targeting both group and individual business, ensuring that sales activities align with the hotel's marketing objectives, and optimizing revenue across all business segments.
You will be instrumental in executing strategies, mentoring the sales team, and fostering strong relationships with key stakeholders, including clients and internal departments.
This position demands a proactive, results-driven individual with the ability to lead, inspire, and motivate a diverse team while ensuring the hotel's sales goals are met.
What we expect: Sales Leadership & Strategy: Direct and oversee all sales activities, ensuring that group and individual bookings are focused on maximizing revenues.
Execute and communicate sales strategies effectively.
Team Management & Development: Lead and motivate a tenured sales team to meet individual and collective sales goals.
Train and guide sales team to ensure high performance and achievement of set objectives.
Revenue Maximization: Collaborate with the sales and marketing teams to ensure that group bookings and individual accounts are coordinated with transient demand to maximize revenue opportunities.
Monitor performance and adjust strategies as needed to meet revenue targets.
Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction while achieving sales goals.
Handle negotiations to achieve maximum revenue while addressing client needs.
Sales Forecasting & Reporting: Forecast and report on group and catering contributions.
Provide insights and updates on sales activities, ensuring that the team is aligned with the hotel's overall objectives.
Marketing & Goal Setting: Assist in developing the annual commercial plan and work with the Commercial Director to establish clear sales goals and incentive programs.
Ensure that all sales goals are clearly understood and implemented across the hotel team.
Operational Excellence: Oversee the daily operations of the sales department, ensuring a smooth and efficient workflow.
Monitor the team's performance and provide necessary support and guidance.
Qualifications: Experience: At least 5 years of progressive experience in hotel sales, with at least 3 years in a leadership position.
Experience in luxury hotels or resorts is preferred.
Leadership: Proven ability to lead, motivate, and mentor a team in a high-performance environment.
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain effective relationships.
Sales Expertise: A deep understanding of revenue management, market trends, and strategies to maximize hotel revenue.
Strong negotiation and communication skills are essential.
Results-Oriented: A proactive, solution-focused approach with the ability to adapt and adjust strategies based on performance data and market conditions.
Collaboration: Strong cross-departmental collaboration skills, with a demonstrated ability to work effectively with various teams and stakeholders.
Education: A bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Hospitality Management, or related field is preferred.
