Responsibilities

This position is for Pactiv Evergreen.
RESPONSIBILITIES

As a member of the Cyber Security Team, the job of the Director of Security Architecture involves overseeing the design and implementation of security architecture solutions for an organization.
This role requires a deep understanding of security best practices, emerging threats, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement security solutions that align with business goals.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Leading the development of a comprehensive security architecture strategy that addresses current and future security needs of the organization.
Overseeing the design and implementation of security architecture solutions, including but not limited to network security, cloud security, identity and access management, and data security.
Collaborating with business leaders, IT teams, and security teams to identify security risks and vulnerabilities and developing solutions to mitigate them.
Providing guidance and expertise on security architecture to other teams and stakeholders within the organization.
Developing and maintaining security policies, procedures, and standards that align with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
Conducting regular assessments and audits of the organization's security architecture to identify areas for improvement and ensure compliance.
Staying up-to-date on the latest security trends, threats, and technologies, and making recommendations to the organization as needed.
Managing and mentoring a team of security architects and engineers to ensure that they have the skills and resources needed to perform their roles effectively.
Qualifications

EDUCATIONAL AND OTHER SKILL REQUIREMENTS

Strong background in cybersecurity and experience with security architecture design and implementation

Excellent communication and leadership skills and be able to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams

A deep understanding of regulatory compliance requirements, such as GDPR, HIPAA, or PCI DSS, is also essential

A bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field is typically required, along with relevant security certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CCSP

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Attention to detail and adherence to deadlines

Ability to accept and apply constructive criticism

Strong initiative, able to self-manage and use good judgment

Ability to collaborate and develop working relationships at all levels of management, both inside and outside of Cybersecurity

Ability to multitask and manage multiple projects at one time

Ability to present information to an audience both virtually and in person
