Powered by diverse leaders and a commitment to fighting the status quo, BRICK is building resilient, intelligent, creative kids by equipping them with a high-quality, nurturing education and thriving, engaged families to support their success from cradle to career.OverviewRole:BRICK Education Network and Gateway Academy Charter Schoolis seeking a Director of Student Recruitment and Retentionis responsible torecruit, support, advocate and retainall families.Essential FunctionsSuccess in the Role95% of families remain at the school year over year100% of recruitment targets are metRecruit FamiliesDesign, implement, and monitor the student recruitment plan, including student recruitment targets, student recruitment objectives, tactics and strategiesWork closely with Managing Director of External Relations and Communications to create a plan to secure 1,000+ student applications annuallyAttend recruitment fairs and community eventsCoordinate and conduct open houses and school toursSupport the creation of promotional materials to attract new familiesCreate, update, and deliver presentations to prospective familiesConduct regular and ongoing outreach to applicants and families; extend seat offers to parents and actively manage the waitlistRetain FamiliesCultivate Parent Voice in the School and Greater CommunityDevelop ongoing volunteer opportunities for families to meet the needs of the schoolEnsure students and parents are happy with the school and return year after year by facilitating the recommitment process each yearMeet with any families who express a desire to transfer for any reasonQualifications Bachelor's degree5+ years of experienceAbility to work comfortably with parents, school staff, and community leadersAbility to effectively present information in an engaging way to a variety of families/groups.Effective program development and project management skills.Ability to work some late nights and weekends.An eagerness to set ambitious, challenging, and tangible goals, and a relentless drive to achieve them.An ability to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment and a capacity to remain calm and focused when faced with unexpected challenges.Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including strong public speaking skills.Excellent organizational and leadership abilities.Competent and able to plan and coordinate a variety of operational activitiesSalary & Employment PeriodSalary Range: Based Upon Experience / Performance Contract Employment Period: Twelve MonthsNJ State Pension Retirement PlanHealth Benefits are included with full time employment$65,000 - $120,000 a yearBRICK Education Network is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, gender, religion, age, sexual orientation, national or ethnic origin, disability, marital status, veteran status, or any other occupationally irrelevant criteria.
