Director Of Warehouse Operations

Position: Warehouse Director Location: Brooklyn, New York George Thomas has partnered with a leading apparel and clothing company headquartered in New York. The company is looking to appoint a Warehouse Director. The role will oversee all warehouse operations, focusing on inventory management, distribution, and logistics to enhance efficiency and customer satisfaction. Key Responsibilities Leadership & Management: Direct daily operations; manage and develop staff; implement performance metrics Operational Efficiency: Analyze workflows; develop standard operating procedures (SOPs); collaborate with other departments to improve processes Inventory Management : Oversee inventory control; ensure accuracy and minimize shrinkage; work with procurement on stock levels Compliance & Safety: Ensure adherence to safety regulations; lead safety training; conduct regular compliance audits Logistics & Distribution: Manage relationships with logistics providers; implement strategies for timely, cost-effective deliveries Budgeting & Reporting: Develop and manage the warehouse budget; provide regular operational reports and identify improvement opportunities Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field 8+ years of warehouse operations experience, with 5+ years in a leadership role Proven success in process optimization and inventory management Strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills Knowledge of WMS, ERP systems, and safety regulations (OSHA)
