Director of Operations & Maintenance: Solar Industry: Renewable Energy - Solar Who we are: We are a global talent partner specialised in the Energy Transition with two decades of experience in renewable energy, cleantech, electrification, and decarbonisation sectors. The client: We are partnered with a significant player in the renewable energy sector internationally, recognized for its innovative approach to project development and management throughout North America. With a robust portfolio and a dedicated team of over 500 employees, our client is committed to delivering sustainable energy solutions. As part of a global organization known for its commitment to sustainability, the company is engaged in various renewable technologies, including solar, wind, energy storage and green hydrogen. Location: New York or Houston, United States (Hybrid) The Role: Our client is searching for a Director of Operations & Maintenance to join the team focused on their distributed generation solar portfolio oversight. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in portfolio operations & optimisation, project management, team leadership, and business administration within the energy sector. Requirements\Qualifications: 7-10 years of experience in the energy sector, particularly in asset management and renewable energy (solar preferred) 5-7 years of managerial experience in operations & maintenance/ asset management Strong analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills. Bachelor's degree in a relevant field. Responsibilities: The main responsibilities of the position include but are not limited to: Portfolio Optimization: Ensure solar assets meet or exceed production targets through performance analysis and system efficiency evaluations. Operation & Maintenance: Oversee coordination of maintenance activities to guarantee optimal system performance and reliability, managing relationships with service providers. Monitoring & Reporting: Develop operational monitoring systems and generate comprehensive performance reports while addressing issues and driving improvements. Budget Management: Define and monitor operational budgets while optimizing revenues and expenses.
