Summary of Job (brief description)
The Director Payer and Patient Services Marketing role at Soleno requires a passionate, collaborative, and detail-oriented individual who will serve as the marketing lead supporting all educational and marketing initiatives focused on payer accounts, patient support services, trade and distribution, and field reimbursement.
This role will in collaboration with both the head of marketing and head of market access provide strategic and tactical oversight in the development and deployment of our market access and patient services initiatives.
The Director will build highly collaborative working relationships with the broader marketing and market access teams, and other cross-functional stakeholders across commercial, medical, operations, and CMC.
Externally, the Director will work closely with the AOR and other various partners to successfully lead strategy and tactical plan execution to ensure seamless access through launch.
This role reports directly to the Head of Marketing.
Responsibilities Serve as the market access marketing lead responsible for all Market Access marketing tactics, including but not limited to payer communications, patient services communications, field reimbursement support, trade and distribution, and reimbursement support.
Work with the patient services team closely to establish and deliver strong patient support messages and educational materials to patients, HCPs, and office practice managers.
Drive review of key market access marketing materials through the medical, legal, and regulatory (MLR) or promotional review committee (PRC) review and approval process.
Collaborate with cross-functional partners on market research needs and leverages multiple data sources including but not limited to advisory boards, field force inputs, and industry reports to uncover emerging needs, opportunities, and innovative approaches to educate customers.
Partner and leverage caregiver and advocacy feedback in development of patient services materials.
Ensure effective role out of market access and patient support assets to the field and HUB teams in close cooperation with the sales management, market access, and L&D trainers.
Leverage data and analytics to identify KPIs, track performance of initiatives, and optimize strategy.
Effectively manage agency partners to produce deliverables within timelines and budgets.
Manage marketing budget closely and ensure expenditure is aligned with the brand strategy and tactical plans.
Creates a culture where patients and customers are at the center of thinking and operations.
QualificationsUndergraduate Degree, MBA preferred.
8+ years of increasing experience in Biotech or Pharmaceutical industry with focus in marketing and market access for rare/orphan and specialty products.
Ability to thrive in a start-up environment and prepared to assume roles and responsibilities outside of traditional job functions.
Strong US Market Access experience required, in particular, experience working closely with the market access team, payer marketing, and patient support programs.
Rare Disease experience preferred.
Track record of developing successful marketing campaigns and experience working with marketing agency partners.
Outstanding business acumen, leadership, business case development, budget management skills, and demonstrated ability to drive business results.

Payer and patient services marketing experience required, additional experience with HCP, patient, and caregiver marketing preferred.

Ability to work successfully in a dynamic, fast paced, team-oriented environment.
Home office-based role with ability to travel up to 20%.
Salary Range: $200,000-$265,000
