Symetra has an exciting opportunity to join our service team as a Director, PFML and Absence Products!About the roleThe Director, PFML and Absence Products, is responsible for ongoing management of existing product lines and leading project teams to implement new products or product changes. The Director works with various internal departments to maintain existing product features, materials, and support. This position also manages the work of product analysts in support of product implementation and ongoing maintenance.What you'll do in this roleSponsor/lead projects to implement new products or make changes to existing products.Serve as product expert/evangelist and department representative across the organization and on various teams/committees.Partner with the Absence team to serve and support as the product expert and department representative.Work with Compliance filing team on product filing strategies and tasks and Actuarial pricing team on new statutory plan pricing and management of ongoing rate changes.Represent Division externally with regulators, distribution partners, vendors, and industry groups.Oversee technical product support and product training. Knowledge of Absence and statutory products, management and delivery, regulatory and competitive environments.Ability to use financial analysis to build business cases for product changes.Ability to coach and mentor direct reports and others.Excellent interpersonal and relationship management skills.Results oriented.
