A relocation package is available for those who qualify.Job Responsibilities and Requirements:Primary ResponsibilitiesDevelops short term and long term goals and oversees the operation of the pharmacy. Provides clinical, operational and financial oversight and direction for the development of pharmacy programs, policies, and procedures.Prepares an annual budget. Reviews monthly financial statistics and plans expenditures within budget guidelines. Monitors and justifies all expenditures exceeding budgeted targets. Ensures appropriate charging of all pharmacy products and monitors for appropriate reimbursement. Seeks innovative ways to reduce operating expenses and develop the necessary programs to deliver cost-effective services and products.Continual assessment of pharmacy services for improvement related to quality, cost, formulary management, medication delivery, safety, customer service, and engagement results and provides recommendations for improvement and/or business development in order to achieve outcomes and goals for system-wide quality, service, and financial viability.Ensures compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local laws, rules, and regulations. (e.g., Food and Drug Administration, Drug Enforcement Administration, State Board of Pharmacy, Joint Commission, Centers for Medicare and Medicaid, etc..)Develops and enforces policies and procedures that promote cost-effective, appropriate, and safe medication use. Provides for the education needs of the pharmacy staffCollaborates with medical staff, nursing, administration, and regional pharmacy leadership to maintain productive and effective relationships to ensure the safe and effective delivery of pharmacy services across the continuum of care. Proficient in conflict resolution, group dynamics and facilitation of projects. Participates in committees and/or functions as appropriate and/or required by the organization.Recruits, interviews, promotes, disciplines, and terminates pharmacy staff. Sets performance standards and goals for direct reports and the department. Evaluates and counsels staff on their performance. Monitors workload statistics to ensure appropriate staffing levels.Precept pharmacy students and residents, as applicable.Works in a constant state of alertness and safe manner.Performs other duties as assigned.EducationPharmacy degree (Pharm.D; Bachelor of Pharmacy) from an accredited school of pharmacyExperienceFive years experience, with two years in direct people management/leadershipRequired Professional License and/or CertificationsResuscitation Certification Requirement: Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider (BLS HCP) required within 90 day of employment.
