As a Director of Procurement at RXO, you will handle all procurement responsibilities, lead the Procurement team and work with vendors and internal leaders to create procurement solutions that meet service and cost expectations.
What your day-to-day will look like: Lead a procurement team, including setting performance targets, and continuously providing feedback regarding actual performance in comparison to targets. Own all procurement-related activities for multiple functions, and business units, particularly focused on indirect spend and IT. Help develop sourcing strategies, develop key initiatives, best practices and processes within the teamthat maximize value and mitigates risks. Develop positive working relationships with vendors, and other internal customers - particularly IT. Recommend cost-saving strategies that are equitable to the vendors. Negotiate information technology agreements and support contract renewals (e.g., licensing, infrastructure, networking, and telecom agreements) Prepare and issue Request for Proposals (RFPs), evaluate proposals with internal stakeholders and lead contractual negotiations with suppliers. Lead staff members in obtaining and analyzing sub-contractors and vendors. What you'll need to excel: At a minimum, you'll need:
Bachelor's degree or relevant military experience 7 years of Procurement experience Solid Microsoft Officeproficiency Familiarity with contract negotiation, and contract management Familiarity with Purchasing best practice and Procurement software (e.g., Coupa) It'd be great if you also have:
10 years of Procurement experience Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and analytical skills Proven time management and problem-solving skills Ability to interact and communicate well with all internal and external customers.
