As a Product Manager on the Developer Experience Product team, you will design and deliver best-in-class managed compute solutions that improve the quality of life of our software delivery teams while maintaining the highest quality and security standards. You will work with stakeholders at every level to identify pain points for software development teams throughout the software delivery life cycle.
This role advocates for the needs of the customer to inform the platform roadmap, ensuring the capabilities being delivered are aligned with the intended business outcomes. You will be responsible for shaping multi-year strategies and partnering with tech teams to deliver platform features. The ideal candidate for this role is passionate about technology, deeply understands how developers work, and empathizes with internal and external customer needs.
As part of the Director, Product Management - Deployment Experiences & Release Decisioning role, you will: Lead product management for the common capabilities across our deployment pipeline lifecycle.Demonstrate excellent judgment with managing operational risk with customer experience.Set the vision and strategy that is industry researched and customer backed.Collaborate cross-functionally with stakeholders across cybersecurity, risk, compliance, supplier management, engineering, and lines of business.Drive roadmap and strategy while keeping a pulse on the industry landscape, customer and stakeholder needs, and vendor roadmap.Oversee the end-to-end product lifecycle, from ideation and requirements gathering to launch, defining success metrics and ongoing enhancements.In this role, you'll be expected to demonstrate proficiency in five key areas: Human Centered: You'll deeply immerse yourself in knowing your internal and/or external customer(s) by employing empathy and design thinking to define broad-scale solutions.Business Focused: You'll learn the financial drivers and points of leverage within your domain to identify new products or enhancements that drive sustainable value for Capital One.Technology Driven: You'll foster a strong agile discipline and inspire teams to continuously improve delivery.Integrated Problem Solving: Develop and champion a bold vision that drives meaningful outcomes.Transformational Leadership: Establish a long-term product portfolio strategy informed by customer and business needs.We want you if you are: Intellectually Curious: Comfortable navigating between big ideas and executional realities.Communicator & Influencer: Comfortable influencing executives and communicating your product vision.Do-er: Biased toward action and willing to make commitments and trade-offs.Passionate & Customer Focus: Care about growing others and understanding customer needs.Learner: Appetite to learn new technologies while exhibiting humbleness.Team Player: Enjoy working with diverse people toward a common goal.Basic Qualifications: Bachelor's DegreeAt least 7 years of experience in digital product managementPreferred Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or EngineeringMBA or Master's degree5+ years of experience in Agile product management5+ years of experience translating business strategy into consumer-facing digital productsExperience leading DevOps Product Management teams and strategiesExperience leading product for large-scale enterprise platformsExperience leading risk management for enterprise platformsCapital One will consider sponsoring a new qualified applicant for employment authorization for this position.
