The Director of Product Management is a critical leadership position within the Client Services team, focusing on the strategic oversight and management of a portfolio of a variety of digital technology products for end users, including multi-functional print service, secure file transfer, security applications, virtual desktop, workspace scheduling, etc. This role emphasizes user experience design, product optimization, and strategic vendor management to ensure the highest quality service delivery and effective resource stewardship. Leading a team of dedicated product managers and business analysts, the Director will collaborate with cross-functional teams and leverage industry best practices to enhance service quality, drive efficiency, and support the evolving IT needs of the university community.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities: Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders across various Harvard schools and units. Facilitate effective communication and coordination to ensure that digital technology products align with their specific needs and strategic goals.
Develop and; manage comprehensive roadmaps for variety of digital products including, Acoustic, Adobe, AI, Crimson Print, Dropbox, Endpoint applications, Filemaker, Kiteworks, Robin, Slack, Virtual Desktop and Zoom, ensuring alignment with the strategic goals of various Harvard schools and units. Communicate product vision, strategy, and updates to stakeholders through presentations, reports, and meetings.
implement product management processes and standards to ensure consistency and efficiency across the team.

Oversee user experience design and optimization efforts to ensure products are intuitive, accessible, and meet the needs of diverse users.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Endpoint Solutions, Field Services, IT Service Management, and Communications, to deliver products that meet user needs and business objectives.
Manage; relationships with external vendors and Lead and manage a team of product managers and business analysts. Provide guidance, training, and career development opportunities to ensure the team operates efficiently and collaboratively.
and track budgets, ensuring efficient resource allocation.

Partners, ensuring contracts are in place and performance is monitored. Monitor vendor performance to ensure compliance with contractual agreements and organizational standards.
Track and report on service analytics to inform decision-making. Utilize data to identify trends, measure performance, and drive improvements in service delivery.
Identify industry trends and collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement, efficiency, and innovation in service delivery.
Other duties as needed or required.
Basic Qualifications
Minimum of seven years' post-secondary education or relevant work experience
Supervisory experience
Additional Qualifications and Skills
3+ years demonstrated highly specialized knowledge of a specific technology
Knowledge of; Microsoft Office Suite, advanced Excel skills
information technology applications, processes, software and equipment
advanced IT project management principles (e.g. Agile) and software

Demonstrated; cross-functional project leadership experience
team performance skills, service mindset approach, and the ability to act as a trusted advisor

Attitude that supports an Agile working environment
Certificates and Licenses
Completion of Harvard IT Academy Project Management Foundations course (or external equivalent) preferred
PMP or other relevant certification and experience preferred, e.g., Scrum Master
Working Conditions
Work is performed in an office setting
