Fidelity Institutional (FI) is seeking a Model Portfolios Product Manager to support FI's model portfolio product offering.
You will work as part of a product management team designed to increase usage of existing products, improve all aspects of the products and Advisor experience, and develop new and innovative solutions to satisfy the growing demand of our Advisors.
You will work closely with partners in investment management, distribution, operations, marketing and technology to develop, implement and support the diverse Model Portfolio suite within FI.
Responsibilities:Support strategy and execution of FI's Model Portfolios offering, ensuring our capabilities evolve with industry trends and the investment needs of Advisors.Provide ongoing product support including project management, intake request management, backlog prioritization, and ad hoc support for client and distribution needs.Drive development and prioritization of the Model's strategic roadmap and key initiatives while influencing roadmaps of cross-company business partners who support the Model's business.Act as liaison between investment professionals, distribution channel partners, marketing, operations, technology teams, and LRC.Develop business cases for new products and improvements to existing products.Develop project plans for building scale and efficiency into the end-to-end model's ecosystem.Oversee the alignment of future business needs with technology capabilities.Assist in modernizing the investment experience for advisors through Fidelity's own integrated platform experiences, or through working with 3rd party fintech/TAMP platforms.Work alongside our investment specialist teams, sales teams and relationship management organization to capture voice of client; used to drive roadmap, product positioning and product development for the Model's business.The Expertise and Skills You Bring:Bachelor's degree required.
Progress towards advanced degrees or professional certifications preferred.7-10 years of financial services experience, preferably in product management or product strategy roles; managed account experience preferred.Project management abilities with a history of successfully driving progress on key initiatives while coordinating and aligning critical dependencies.Understanding of Fidelity's product capabilities and managed account offerings including Model Portfolios and SMAs.Understanding of the evolving TAMP landscape and Fintech Marketplace.Experience working directly with Intermediaries (BDs/RIAs) to understand advisor needs.Understanding of the operational complexity required to deliver model portfolios in the marketplace.Strong leadership and problem-solving skills.Interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively with individuals from different functional areas and varying levels of experience.Ability to communicate clearly and concisely in both written and verbal communication, and to logically present sophisticated proposals, issues, and arguments to key partners and senior leaders.The Team:The mission of the model portfolios team is to continue to advance our institutional asset management best thinking to advisors in the intermediary marketplace.
