The Director must be a leader who is able to help others deliver measurable, cost-effective results that make the vision a reality. Importantly, the Director will have the skills, sensitivity, and personal confidence to tap into the power that each member of the team brings to this mission. This position oversees the detailed operations of the property management company with specific emphasis on infrastructure, processes, and procedures.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Assists the Managing Director in overseeing and managing the financial and operational facets of the management company.Develops and works with clients/owners to approve budgets and monitors financial performance.Manages the financial and operational performance of the assigned property portfolio.Ensures talent and staffing needs are met by managing Regional Directors and site-level team members.Assists in researching and developing potential new business opportunities.Manages client/owner relationships with regular communication and timely reporting.Develops business plans to promote market growth.Coordinates work activities with vendors and contractors.Promotes resident satisfaction and retention.Meets attendance and punctuality expectations.Organizational Responsibilities: Follows established policies and procedures to ensure compliance.Practices safety techniques in accordance with policies and procedures.Identifies areas for improvement and implements solutions.Stays abreast of changes in technology and industry standards.Participates in industry-related associations for professional development.Work Hours: Company hours of operation are 8:00am-5:00pm Monday through Friday. Exempt employees are expected to adhere to the standard workweek schedule.
Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each duty satisfactorily. The requirements are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
Education/Experience: College degree is preferred. Employment history that demonstrates progressive levels of accountability in property management principles.
Computer Skills: Proficiency in Internet, word processing, spreadsheet, and database management programs.
Certificates and Licenses: Certified Property Manager is preferred. Valid driver's license is required.
