We provide rehabilitation services across the continuum; physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech language pathology and athletic training services at our 5 acute care hospitals, a 26 bed inpatient rehab unit, short-term rehabilitation facilities, assisted living facilities, homecare, and 30+ outpatient centers. Overview We're seeking a Director of Quality for Hartford HealthCare Rehabilitation Network. This is a great opportunity to work in a wonderful team atmosphere with experienced rehab clinicians and some of the best physicians, nurses and physician assistants in New England! Position Description The Director of Quality is responsible for all aspects of quality management for HHCRN including quality assurance, regulatory readiness and process improvement by: Ensuring the achievement of the HHCRN's core strategies and operating results by providing leadership and promoting quality and performance improvement throughout the organization. Collaborating with HHCRN leadership team, Operational Excellence, and Human Experience teams to establish strategic direction for quality improvement and assurance initiatives that include the development and implementation of HHCRN's quality management and performance improvement plans. Chairing HHCRN's Quality Council/Change Committee and actively representing HHCRN at regional and system wide quality councils. Leading safety and quality audit activities, and overseeing the readiness and preparedness activities for accreditation by regulatory agencies. Reports to the VP of Clinical Services. Key Accountabilities: • Demonstrated effectiveness in implementing and shaping QA/QI culture by defining/developing quality strategy, approach and directing execution • Strong communication skills with all the key stakeholders to ensure quality vision is understood and implemented correctly. • Be an advocate of Quality Assurance, Continuous Improvement and standardization based on recognized Best Practices in rehabilitation. • Proactive, open-minded, quick thinker and assertive. • Ability to develop and maintain relationships in order to motivate teams to achieve goals and objectives • Influencing skills and negotiation skills to generate support and participation on ideas and initiatives to effectively guide the development and implementation of quality action plans. • Monitoring of all the QA activities, analyze results, assist with root cause analysis and identifying areas of improvement. Partner with appropriate stakeholders to improve the processes. These standards allow us to bring out the very best in our clients and our staff.Qualifications Bachelor's degree required. PT, OT or SLP advanced degree typically preferred. Experience in managing and developing people and programs required. Certified Professional in Healthcare Qualify (CPHQ) preferred. Strong verbal, written and interpersonal skills required. Travel across HHC service area required. Knowledge, Skills and Ability Requirements • Demonstrated experience of leading through influence and collaborating with key stakeholders. • Ability to understand and analyze financial/operational metrics. • Ability to develop and implement action plans to improve clinical outcomes. • Computer proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint as well as electronic heath records and other software applications.
