Job Summary: The Director of Retirement Plan Services leads and oversees all aspects of pension plan administration, including Defined Contribution and Defined Benefit plans. This role encompasses strategic oversight of plan design, regulatory compliance, and reporting, as well as the management and mentorship of the pension administration team. This role will be working with Earned's newly acquired firm Thomas Doll.
Key Responsibilities: Strategic Oversight: Provide strategic direction and leadership in the design, implementation, and administration of pension plans. Ensure alignment with organizational goals and regulatory requirements.
Compliance Management: Oversee compliance with federal and state regulations, including non-discrimination testing, IRS and DOL filings, and other government reporting. Ensure the organization meets all compliance deadlines and standards.
Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and develop a team of pension administrators. Foster a collaborative environment that encourages professional growth and ensures high-quality service delivery.
Client Relations: Serve as the primary point of contact for key clients and stakeholders. Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, addressing complex issues and offering strategic guidance.
Reporting and Analysis: Direct the preparation and analysis of administrative reports and statements. Utilize data to drive improvements in plan administration and operational efficiency.
Process Improvement: Identify and implement best practices and process improvements to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of pension administration functions.
Key Requirements: Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree preferred.
Minimum of ten years of pension administration experience with a proven track record in a leadership role.
Advanced knowledge of pension administration software and tools; ASC and FT Williams required. Microsoft Office suite proficiency required.
NIPA or ASPPA credentials required.
