About the JobThe Director of Sales and Marketing is responsible for directing all sales and marketing activities, including but not limited:
To ensure all sales activities, individual accounts and group bookings are focused and coordinated with transient demand to yield the maximum revenue per available room.To uncover, prospect and sell group and individual business, in accordance with the objectives established in the Sales and Marketing Plan.To monitor and motivate the sales activities and the sales team.To ensure that all sales persons' quotas are met.Is responsible for the marketing activities and oversees the development and delivery of a fully integrated marketing strategy for the business.Key ResponsibilitiesThe ability to direct the reporting and appraising of results against planned objectives; coordinates sales staff activities; takes appropriate action to maximize sales and effect need periods.The ability to establish group room night and average rate goals based on marketing plan and overall objectives.The ability to manage transient and group room commitments to ensure proper market mix.The ability to direct sales activities of the hotel to achieve budgeted goals.The ability to monitor and identify current and future business trends to ensure profitable sales in periods of low and high demand.The ability to negotiate and achieve maximum revenue/profit potential while satisfying client's needs.The ability to assume the responsibility for leading and directing the hotel's group and individual room sales activity.The ability to be proactive and creative in developing sales solutions.The ability to actively sell and manage her key accounts and territory as #1 priority.The ability to negotiate and confirm sales.The ability to lead by setting the example of utilizing approved methods of handling sales accounts.The ability to foster effective communication and work productively with all Worldwide Sales Offices.The ability to ensure that the sales staff sells all hotel products.The ability to enhance the hotel's community image and stay abreast of the competition, new developments and sales methods and techniques in the hotel industry within the city to maximize sales and profitability.Achieve overall business objective and formulation of strategies in ensuring business attainment.Setting revenue targets for the hotel and setting key performance indicators.Review sales production and implement sales action plan to achieve the budget goals.Participate in Forecast and Yield meetings for yield optimization.Leads and manages all day-to-day activities related to the sales function with a focus on building short and long-term, value-based customer relationships that enable achievement of property sales objectives.Presenting sales results to the property Executive and Regional team on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis.Working closely with the RHG national accounts team to secure large accounts.Implement a variety of new business initiatives to drive sales.Ensure the sales team has an effective sales training program.Participates in sales calls with members of sales team to acquire new business and/or close on business.Analyzes market information by using sales systems and implements strategy to achieve property's financial room and catering goals.Attends customer events to maintain, build and develop key relationships with RSO Managers and customers.Overseeing performance management of under-performing sales staff members.Create smooth communication with directors of Sales and Marketing.Negotiating agreements for contracts with customers and ensuring commerciality.Implement an effective sales pipeline and lead tracking process.Implement best practices in sales techniques throughout the department.About YouClient Relationships and Customer FocusCoachingManaging ProcessesSelf-MotivatedMarketing ResearchStatistical AnalysisDeveloping BudgetsFinancial Planning and StrategyBachelors or Master degree in MarketingProven track record of success in senior marketing roleNatural leader with an ability to inspire performance with sales teams.A minimum of three years of experience in luxury hotel sales.Strong commercial outlook and an entrepreneurial approach to business development.Our brand is expanding faster than ever before.
