You will help create and drive the Consumer Platform technology strategy, infrastructure, and architecture ensuring that teams and individuals work towards the strategy of having one platform across Consumer.

PayPal is looking for an experienced technology leader across the stack, including mobile, witha track recordof building and scaling platforms and frameworks in an enterprise organization.You will help create and drive the roadmap for mobile technology, web technology, backend technology that powers every feature of the Consumer ecosystem. You will have accountability for the speed and simplicitybywhich teams can bring features to market.
Your Day to Day:?
Aid in the development and growth ofConsumer Platformengineering and technology strategy.??

Lead and manage engineeringteams across iOS, Android, Java, Node

Oversee the design, development,implementationand deployment of Consumer Platform initiatives

Influence a large ecosystem of 40 teams that build software for Consumers

Work closely with cross-functional teams (Marketing, IT, Product, Engineering) to implement technology-driven projects andensure success.??

Foster a culture of continuous improvement,accountabilityand cohesion.?

What You Bring:
Degree in Computer Science, or a related technical field.?Advanced degree preferred.?

12-15 years of experience in engineering,productand/or technology, ideally in amobile first environment at PayPal's scale

5-10 years' experience in leading technical organizations.?

Experience in scaling and developing internationally dispersed teams.

Deep understanding ofmobile, web, distributed systems and building frameworks across them

Excellent analytical skills and the ability to communicate complex technology concepts effectively.??

Successfultrack recordbuilding out strategies and partnerships with cross functional leaders.?

Ability to navigate altitudes (shifting between strategic and tactical).?

Ability to synthesize complex information into the essential points to inform executive decision-making.??

Outstanding communication and influencing skills.??

Results-oriented, analytical, self-motivated, and a "hands-on" leader with a proven ability to meet objectives/targets, develop and scale a team, and cultivate superb relationships with cross-functional teams.??

Travel required, as necessary, for customer activities and leadership reviews.???

Experience and appreciation for cultural nuances when working internationally.?

Executive presentation skills; including in-person, written, and verbal.???
