Omeros' lead MASP-2 inhibitor narsoplimab targets the lectin pathway of complement and is the subject of a biologics license application pending before FDA for the treatment of hematopoietic stem cell transplant-associated thrombotic microangiopathy.
Omeros' long-acting MASP-2 inhibitor OMS1029 is currently in a Phase 1 multi-ascending-dose clinical trial.
OMS906, Omeros' inhibitor of MASP-3, the key activator of the alternative pathway of complement, is advancing toward Phase 3 clinical trials for paroxysmal nocturnal hemoglobinuria and complement 3 glomerulopathy.
Funded by the National Institute on Drug Abuse, Omeros' lead phosphodiesterase 7 inhibitor OMS527 is in clinical development for the treatment of cocaine use disorder and, in addition, is being developed as a therapeutic for other addictions as well as for a major complication of treatment for movement disorders.
Omeros also is advancing a broad portfolio of novel immuno-oncology programs comprised of two cellular and three molecular platforms.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities: Partner with the CBDO and cross functional Team members in the development and execution of the business development strategy. Identify, evaluate, prioritize and advance potential partnerships and opportunities that will enable Omeros to be a leader in biotechnology and optimize the value of Omeros portfolio. Identify and engage with priority regional and global partners in accordance with business development strategy, establish and maintain a broad network of external relationships. For specific business development opportunities, drive the BD process, coordinate due diligence including scientific evaluations, financial assessments, and risk analysis, facilitate internal and external communication, structure/negotiate/finalize agreements, and manage existing alliances. Cultivate a strong and effective partnership with key stakeholders, including executives, scientific teams, cross functional teams, and potential collaborators, to create mutually beneficial partnerships. Conduct thorough market analysis to understand emerging trends, competitive landscape, and strategic opportunities for collaboration and business growth. Represent the company at industry conferences, scientific meetings, and partnership discussions to promote Omeros and foster collaboration opportunities. Education, Experience, Skills, and Knowledge Required: Advanced degree (PhD, MD, MBA, or equivalent) preferred, or significant relevant industry experience and scientific acumen. Experience in immunology (both innate and adaptive) as well as oncology strongly preferred. Director level: Minimum 4-6 years of sell-side business development or corporate development experience in biotech or pharmaceutical industry, and/or industry related investment banking, venture capital, private equity, management consulting experience will be considered (7-10 years for Sr Director). Ability to think strategically and analytically, with a track record of identifying, evaluating, and capitalizing on partnership opportunities. Demonstrated success in constructing, negotiating and closing complex deals, running due diligence, financial analysis & modelling, including licensing, co-development, and collaboration agreements. Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously and work across cross-functional teams. Excellent interpersonal, networking and communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with senior executives, scientists, and external stakeholders. Strong understanding of the drug development process, including early-stage research through clinical development and commercialization. The wage scale for the Director / Sr Director Business Development role is Director ($190,000 - $230,000) and Sr Director ($225,000 - $280,000).
Salaries will be determined based on knowledge, skills, education, and experience relevant to the role.

Employees accrue three weeks of vacation and 80 hours of sick time on an annual basis and receive twelve paid holidays throughout the calendar year.
This position is eligible for bonus and stock options.
