Director, Store Planning and Construction- Americas Flagship StoresPosition Overview:The Director, Flagship Stores is responsible for oversee Flagships and major stores in our strategic Americas cities. S/he is responsible for supporting and handling the construction management, cost control and multiple partners coordination, including architectural firms, relations with landlords,project reviews, project communications, quality control, scheduling, budgeting and project reporting.This individual must be creative and problem-solving approach and with a strong project management attitude, detailed oriented and have the ability to develop and manage the overall scheduling and budget of the projects. The Director will oversee a team of outside consultants and international contractors to ensure that the strategic vision and needs of the region, combined with Tiffanys global design and planning requirements are being met. The Director will be expected to create and or augment existing systems to increase efficiencies and reduce costs.Key Accountabilities:Planning-Manage and oversee all external consultants and suppliers in the development of the projects.Create a culture that insures the highest standard of performance and quality from design, construction, sourcing, vendors and store opening.Continuously evaluate performance of internal and external resources; propose and implement changes as required to ensure an optimally functioning organization and a high-performance vendor and consultant resource pool.Negotiate and coordinate design and technical requirements, strategic scheduling and upfront planning, budgeting and hiring.Responsible to open the stores with Tiffany high quality standards in budgets and on scheduleReview with real estate department lease requirementsStandards & Best Practices-In collaboration with Divisional Finance, cost control manager, Legal leadership and procurement:Establish competitive bidding, contract administration and project related legal and financial controls; monitor to ensure compliance by all regions. Continually evaluate and propose modifications to ensure optimal performance.Establish qualification process and standards for project related: consultants, vendors, and construction service providers; monitor to ensure compliance of quality, budget and schedule. Continually evaluate and propose modifications to ensure optimal performance.Efficiencies / Continuous Improvement Initiatives-Regularly visit completed projects with members of Creative team/Store Design, Procurement, and Store Planning. Identify areas of needed improvement and institute changes to implement improvements in project development, project delivery, materials and assemblies.Support Store Design with their on-going research and development programs. In collaboration with Creative team/ Store Design and Procurement, identify and support the prototyping of project components according to the schedules and budgets.Identify regional efficiencies, resources and practices for sourcing across regional projects.Work in collaboration with Procurement to propose and implement programs to identifyefficiencies.Required Qualifications:8+ years experience with Architecture/interior design and/or Construction degree and backgroundStrong construction international experience in the luxury industryStrong interpersonal, communication, project management and people management skillsDemonstrated self-starter with ability to organize teams around competing prioritiesExperience effectively working with cross-functional teams and fostering collaborative thinkingClient focused with ability to create alignmentAutoCADProject (for schedules)Graphic program: Adobe Package (InDesign, Photoshop)Office packageStrong believer in teamwork and multidisciplinary approach, able to create excellent interpersonal relationsPassion for building brands and challenging status quo, with a cultural awareness that advises key concepts and emerging trendsCreative strategy and Project development experience, including operational plans and compelling presentations.Strong drive for outstanding and magnificent execution and attention to detailsExcellent written and verbal communication skills.The hiring range for this position ranges from $159,120 - $224,640. The rate of pay offered will be dependent upon candidates relevant skills and experience. Management is also eligible for bonus.
