The Opportunity As the Director, Technical Program Management , you will be driving the organization through a technology transformation and positioning B&V as a tech forward leader in the EPC industry. You will drive developing the roadmap for the organization and identifying the necessary technology solutions and resources needed to ensure alignment with B&V's goals and objectives. You will be managing high impact enterprise implementations and working collaboratively with stakeholders across the organization to operate efficiently. You will also be responsible for creating and defining the structure, processes, and methodologies for managing technical programs.
This role is hybird, and will require 3 days onsite at a location closest to you and will require travel to our Kansas City HQ from time to time. The Team As part of BV Business Enablement , you will be part of the critical and forward-thinking group that enables our people, projects, and businesses to be as successful as possible by providing creative solutions. Functions in this group include CIO/Global Information Technology, Diode, ESH&S, Finance, Human Resources, Legal, Risk Management, and Government Affairs and Real Estate and Building Services.
Key Responsibilities Responsible for scoping and delivering enterprise-wide technical projects and programs across B&V. Define, own, and drive a forward-thinking global TPM organization within B&V. Responsibilities include collection of business and systems requirements from internal and external customers, writing specifications, driving project schedules from start to release, and managing the production launch. Coordinate implementation efforts between internal teams and outside merchants and vendors to develop optimal solutions. Expected to make appropriate tradeoffs to optimize time-to-market, clearly communicate goals, roles, responsibilities, and desired outcomes to internal cross-functional and remote project teams. Work closely with the engineering and development team on delivering high-quality solutions, and provide guidance regarding architecture, design, and priorities. Develop, own, and improve the mechanisms we use to track goals, status, and business metrics across teams. As part of the technical leadership team, you will drive cutting edge metrics gathering and reporting. Coordinate cross-team programs that are existential to the broader B&V business. Educate teams to identify key risks, provide guidance on how to communicate them, and ensure leadership has the right visibility. This role will work closely with senior leaders across B&V and lead several strategic initiative. Management Responsibilities Supervises work of others. Responsible for hiring, discipline, and pay administration of their subordinates.
Minimum Qualifications 7+ years of working directly with software engineering teams 5+ years of technical product or program management experience; blended technical and business skills are especially valuable. 3+ years of software development experience or the equivalent Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes, and coordinating release schedules All applicants must be able to complete pre-employment onboarding requirements (if selected) which may include any/all of the following: criminal/civil background check, drug screen, and motor vehicle records search, in compliance with any applicable laws and regulations Preferred Qualifications 5+ years of project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, quality, along with risk and critical path management experience Experience managing complex technology projects across cross functional teams, building sustainable processes, and coordinating release schedules. Experience defining complex KPI's/SLA's used to drive multi-million dollar businesses and reporting to senior leadership Work Environment/Physical Demands Typical office environment with hybrid work schedule: 3 days in office and 2 days remote
