As a Director, Workers Compensation, you will use business and technical knowledge to identify areas of workers compensation and safety trends within the organization. You will investigate, develop, and analyze possible solutions, make recommendations, including impacts, and implement aligned solutions. You will partner with leaders to develop overall organizational goals and structure and create a robust Workers Compensation strategy to support improving the health of our employees while achieving our business goals. You will also ensure consistent and equitable application of WC practices and procedures and partner with leaders on all aspects of WC policies and procedures. You will identify best practices and improvement areas for business effectiveness by leveraging external resources and internal partners, and you will employ project management skills to bring these improvements to life. You will leverage organizational savvy to initiate and influence strategic business priorities.
You will report to the VP Human Resources and sit on the DSD HR Leadership Team, while leading a team of Workers Compensation professionals. You will lead all efforts to manage the US Workers Compensation program for KDP's Director Store Delivery business unit, primarily comprised of field sales, delivery (DOT) and warehouse employees.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE: Develop and refine current employee experience when they file a Workers Compensation claim.Re-imagine the experience to enable a more robust, transparent and easy process for employees, leaders and HR Business Partners.Partner with Risk organization, people leaders and HR business partners to better define roles & responsibilities.Develop multi-year plan to reduce claims activity.Develop immediate better experience to drive great return to work opportunities.Evaluate accident reports, ensuring the timely processing of medical bills and temporary total disability benefits; review medical reports, witness statements, department investigation results and other documentation. Compile facts and data regarding accident reports and filed cases.Lead a team of WC professionals to support employees through the Workers' Compensation process.Facilitate Leave of Absence, FMLA, ADA and the interactive process, as needed.Work with business, HR and Legal teams on staff members (temporary and employee) leaving and returning from a Workers Compensation leave of absence and determining appropriate accommodations.Consult with adjustors and defense counsel regarding facts of the injury.Reimagine and implement corporate-wide return to work/transitional duty programs.Participate in periodic claim reviews.Analyze claim trends to develop recommendations for improved safety and claims management efforts and support EH&S initiatives.Collaborate with KDP stakeholders (i.e., EH&S, Risk Management, HR and Legal).Ensure high performance results of your team:Foster a culture of trust and wellbeing that prioritizes the team and values employee contributions.Drive a shared vision with clear goals and accountability, supported by regular conversations to maximize talent.Embrace diverse perspectives to foster innovation, learning from both successes and failures.Establish a safe environment where team members are motivated, heard, and aligned with clear expectations.Keurig Dr Pepper (NASDAQ: KDP) is a leading beverage company in North America, with a portfolio of more than 125 owned, licensed and partners brands and powerful distribution capabilities to provide a beverage for every need, anytime, anywhere.
