The Pure StorageDirector of WW SE Growth & Excellencefor the SE organization is a global level leader within the SE Organization who will drive key strategy and programs for the WWSE organization. They will work closely with the theater WWSE VP on organizational evolution and will step in at times for the WW VP when needed and act as surrogate with the full authority of the WW VP in assigned context and decisions. They will also collaborate closely with various senior leaders and chiefs of staff across the company.
The Director of WWSE Growth & Excellence will run a SE Chief of Staff/Head of Strategy and Program office which will be responsible for WWSE strategy and programs, quarterly and annual business review preparation, planning and decision support and will also be tied to analyst executors to quickly turn insight into decision into execution.
The Director of WW SE Growth & Excellence will also be responsible for:
Executive Enablement
Maintain a holistic view of the organization, staying informed on key initiatives and proactively identifying gaps or challenges.
Collaborate with Global Operations to drive process optimization and enhance operational efficiency across the organization.
Provide the WWVP with strategic insights and comprehensive updates to drive informed decision-making and optimize team performance.
Establish and/or manage the VP's annual operating rhythm, including staff meetings, operations reviews, off-sites, and/or employee engagement forums, ensuring all align with the VP's strategic priorities.
Partner with Finance to ensure budget alignment with organizational priorities, facilitating communication and providing the VP with regular updates for informed decisions.
Executive & Internal Communications
Co-create and refine VP's thought leadership content, producing compelling narratives for internal/external presentations, speaking engagements, and communication channels that enhance the VP's visibility and align with company messaging.
Partner to drive change management for critical strategic initiatives by developing strategies that ensure smooth transitions during organizational/process/system shifts, with a focus on communication, employee engagement, and business alignment.
Foster a collaborative and inclusive culture through programs that enhance team morale, ensure open communication, and promote continuous improvement across the organization.
Critical Strategic Initiatives
Provide strategic oversight for the VP's priority projects and initiatives, ensuring alignment with Sales and company goals. Coordinate cross-functional teams to drive execution and achieve objectives.
Collaborate with Systems Engineering leadership to identify key pain points, gathering insights that drive improvements in team satisfaction and operational efficiency.
Partner with the VP to establish a Systems Engineering Center of Excellence (CoE), aligning with the VP's strategic vision and addressing key priorities and gaps identified by Systems Engineers.
Stakeholder Management
Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders on behalf of the VP, ensuring effective communication, addressing concerns, and aligning efforts to support seamless execution of strategic initiatives.
Lead cross-functional engagement, fostering collaboration and alignment to drive strategic initiatives and successful project outcomes.
Qualifications and Requirements
Must be recognized as a leader with significant executive engagement and alignment experience.
Will have intimate knowledge of working in a dynamic high tech environment.
Will have a proven track record of collaborating with cross-functional departments to drive strategic programs and priorities.
History of executing successful change with multiple examples of proposed and deployed programs with clear examples of their leadership within those examples.
Outstanding project management, analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills; mastery in English language.
A natural ability to lead with the power of collaboration to ensure intimacy within their peers and stakeholders.
A demonstrable bias for action, taking advantage of every opportunity.
Ability to effectively communicate vision and strategy
Suggested Experience
15+ years planning, execution and transformation experience.
Program management experience and/or certification.
MBA and/or consulting experience and/or prior chief of staff experience at VP+ level preferred.
The annual base salary range is: $200,000 – $320,000.
Salary ranges are determined based on role, level and location. For positions open to candidates in multiple geographical locations, the base salary range is reflective of the labor market across the applicable locations.
This role may be eligible for incentive pay and/or equity.
