Directorate of Analysis Fellowship ProgramThe Directorate of Analysis offers fellowships for undergraduate and graduate students attending four-year Minority Serving Institutions (MSIs).

citizens (dual U.S. citizens also eligible)At least 18 years of ageWilling to move to the Washington, DC areaAble to complete security and medical evaluationsAs an Intelligence Analyst Intern for CIA, you will work on teams alongside full-time analysts, studying and evaluating information from all available sources—classified and unclassified—and then analyzing it to provide timely and objective assessments to customers such as the President, National Security Council, and other U.S. policymakers.
Liberal arts majors research, analyze, write, and brief on international political, military, economic, and leadership developments.
Engineering/science students, or those in other technical programs analyze and provide written and oral assessments on challenging national security issues—including foreign weapons development, weapons proliferation, cyber warfare and cyber threats, and emerging technologies—and apply their scientific and technical knowledge to solve complex intelligence problems.
In addition to your analytic responsibilities, you will become familiar with the Agency and Intelligence Community by participating in a range of meetings and projects.
The DA Fellowship Program allows you and the Agency to assess opportunities to serve as an undergraduate and graduate fellow, if schooling continues, or permanent employment following your completion of undergraduate or graduate school.
You will receive tuition assistance each calendar year for tuition, mandatory fees, and books.

Minimum RequirementsAttending a four-year, accredited MSI for an undergraduate or graduate degreeAt least a 3.0 GPA on a 4-point scaleAnalytic writing, critical thinking, and briefing skillsAcademic excellence in core subjects relating to college major or desired majorRelevant practical or job experience in your field of interestDemonstrated leadership qualitiesGenuine interest in contributing to CIA's missionProficiency in a foreign language.
