A day in the life...
This position is an important part of our culinary team.
Our Dishwashers act as kitchen ambassadors to ensure that we have the correct inventory of dishes, cleanliness of dishware, and meeting health code regulations.
Ensure that all dishware, silverware, and kitchen tools are clean, stored properly and ready for use.
Key Accountabilities: Scrapes and rinses food from dirty dishes and washes them by hand or places them in racks or on conveyor to dishwashing machine depending on assigned equipment.
Ensures complete cleanliness and sanitation.Washes pots, pans and trays based on assigned procedures.
Ensure complete cleanliness and sanitation.Ensures compliance with outlined safety procedures.Maintains temperatures and chemical levels as outlined by provided standards.Keeps dish area orderly and in compliance with safety standards.Sweeps and mops kitchen floors to ensure compliance with safety and sanitation standards.Washes worktables, walls, refrigerators, meat blocks and other food prep surfaces.Keeps the kitchen clean by sweeping, mopping floors, lining and emptying trash.Transfers supplies and equipment between storage and work areas.Helps load and unload supplies and product.Maintains a positive attitude and the flexibility to take on new and different tasks as assigned by the Executive Chef.
Requirements
You own this if you have... Previous experience in the restaurant or hospitality industry preferred.Ability to maintain a professional and courteous demeanor during busy times.Must be able to use cleaning compounds and cleaning products.Exercise sound judgment and possess good problem-solving skills.Ability to walk, sit and stand for long periods of time.Lifts and carries sacks, cases, and bus tubs of up to 70 lbs.Frequent bending and stooping, reaching, wiping.Works frequently in a hot and damp environment.
