GENERAL POSITION SUMMARY: Responsible for cleaning/sanitizing all service ware and kitchen production ware and kitchen equipment following all safety and health requirements ensuring the complete satisfaction of both guests and team members while maintaining an organized and safe work environment.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Safely scrape, stack, sort and rack plates, glasses, tableware and other service ware Set up, clean and break down dishwashing machine and area, changing the water in the machine every hour.
Scrape, soak, wash and dry pots and pans; stacking and storing in an organized manner.
Sweep, detail and mop floors periodically.
Maintain all garbage, recycle, compost and grease disposal areas Pick up and wash soiled pans and utensils off the cooks' line and restock in the proper area after drying.
Clean and breakdown station following breakdown procedures for next shift.
This would include emptying and refilling machine, cleaning all stainless, and cleaning and emptying the pot sink.
Perform any other reasonable task requested by lead or manager.
Takes earned breaks daily Checks out with a manager before taking breaks Completes opening/closing checklists and checks out with a manager prior to leaving.
Maintain cleanliness of the material lift (dumbwaiter) EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS REQUIRED: Good communication and organizational skills, teamwork oriented Able to obtain and maintain a King County Food Handlers permit Able to handle cleaning chemicals in a safe and efficient manner, using the correct protective equipment while following and understanding all relevant M.S.D.S.
literature and materials provided Always remains professional and works well with others.
