Tel-Tec Security Systems is in search of a Dispatcher (Graveyard Shift) who shares our commitment to safety and security. The Dispatcher role is pivotal in our operations, ensuring the prompt and effective response to all alarm activity and customer calls.

RequirementsEducation: High School Diploma or GED with general computer data entry knowledgePreferred: Four-year degree in Communication or a related fieldPreferred Experience: Three years working in the security industry or a related field as a dispatcherResponsibilitiesTo ensure quality, timely monitoring response of all security alarm equipment transmitted in any fashion to the central station.To ensure timely, courteous response and quality completion of customer requests for monitoring instruction changes, modifications to call list, and all other customer-related requests related to monitoring their systems.To ensure thorough monitoring and prompt response to alarm system transmissions.To provide for maintenance and upkeep of company facilities and equipment.Email appropriate departments when needed for customer account updates.To ensure adherence to regulatory guidelines applicable to dispatching security, fire, holdup, panic, and life safety alarm systems.To ensure proper record-keeping of all dispatching functions.To establish and maintain a positive work environment, promoting harmony and employee morale.To ensure proper phone answering of all company phones and directing calls to the proper individuals or departments.Participates in on-call rotation.Use a multi-line telephone system to converse with customers, agencies, and technicians.Skills, Knowledge, and AbilitiesMust have outstanding communication skillsAbility to type and good spelling is necessary (The program does not have spell check.)Ability to read and understand Dispatcher Schedules and ReportsAnalytical skills to identify problemsAbility to comprehend and follow instructionsKnowledge of computers and accessing various software applicationsFluent understanding of Security Alarm Monitoring equipment Basic awareness of Alarm system functions and communication codesWorking ConditionsThere are no windows in the room, and the position requires sitting in a chair and responding to computer signals while speaking on the phone and interacting with colleaguesOffice environmentExposure to excessive noisesLong or irregular hoursOn-Call ScheduleShift Changes Post-offer Federal and State Background Checks conducted
Post-offer Drug Screen conducted (Including Marijuana panel for the construction industry and performing federal contracts)
Full-time position (Graveyard Shift); 12:00 am-8:00 am, Saturday through Wednesday (Position is paid for 8 hours even with only 7.5 hours of work performed.)
Benefits 
Starts at $17.50/hour and increases to $18.00/hour after 90 days
