\n Responsbilties:Serve as the first point of contact for emergency and non-emergency calls from the public, healthcare facilities, hospitals, and agencies using our state-of-the-art computer-aided dispatch (CAD) system.Make quick, informed decisions about dispatching response units, keeping the CAD system up to date with real-time crew statuses.Document important call details and updates with accuracy and precision.Provide top-notch customer service by addressing concerns and offering alternative solutions.Communicate effectively with EMT teams, ensuring timely and error-free information transmission.Contribute to customer service improvements by participating in Royal's customer recovery analysis process and offering feedback on service and policy enhancements.Stay calm and composed during emergencies, taking quick action to ensure the best response outcomes.Maintain strict confidentiality of patient, company, and employee information in compliance with HIPAA and company policies.Embody and promote Royal's core values, upholding our high standards of service and care. Minimum Requirements: 1+ year of Dispatcher experience, ideally in a fast-paced, high-stakes environment.Strong computer skills (35+ WPM) and experience with MS Office, CAD systems, and internet usage.Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with a professional and compassionate approach.A customer-centric mindset with the ability to provide empathetic, effective service under pressure.Strong team player who can also work independently and take initiative in a fast-moving environment.Ability to handle multiple tasks at once, maintaining focus and composure in high-pressure situations.Punctuality, reliability, and a strong work ethic.Problem-solving skills with the ability to make sound decisions quickly and confidently.Basic knowledge of medical terminology and the geography of Alameda and Santa Clara counties (training provided if needed).Ability to work a full-time schedule (10-hour shifts, 4 days per week) including weekends and holidays

The range for this position is $25.00-$35.00 per hour. Compensation for the role will depend on several factors, including a candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies, and experience, and may fall outside of the range shown.
