The Dispensing Pharmacist work assignments are varied and frequently require interpretation and independent determination of the appropriate courses of action.The Dispensing Pharmacist ensures adherence to quality assurance standards, accurate tracking techniques and a review process prior to shipping medications to patients. Understands department, segment, and organizational strategy and operating objectives, including their linkages to related areas. Makes decisions regarding own work methods, occasionally in ambiguous situations, and requires minimal direction and receives guidance where needed. Follows established guidelines/procedures.Hours of operation for distribution are 5:30am to 12am. The schedule for position will be: 5:30am-4:00pm (4/10s). However, occasional overtime may be required including Saturdays. This is an ON-SITE role. Non-patient facing role. Use your skills to make an impactScope of Role and Responsibilities: Participate in the preparation of prescriptions via a highly automated system Check for completeness and accuracy of all new and refill labels and orders. Check for content and accuracy of all drug packaging and labeling Interact with fellow health care team members Assure compliance with legal requirements within the pharmacy Process and check for completeness and accuracy of all new and refill Braille and Talking Vial orders.
