As a Distinguished Engineer at Intuit, you will:
ResponsibilitiesProvide architectural and thought leadership across a number of interdependent engineering teams, architects, systems and offerings.Influence the shaping of future products by contributing to customer, business and technology strategy.Develop and lead multi-year architecture and technology solutions that are used across multiple products and teams, driving system and platform thinking within development teams.Advocate customer back/problem focus, end-to-end solution mindset across cross-functional domain areas and teams.Be the technical expert, researching, evaluating, and implementing state-of-the-art technology (open source, third party, etc.).Be a key member of the team by representing technology-driven opportunities and implications of various business and offering strategies and tactics.Demonstrate strong technical documentation and presentation skills to communicate architectural and design options, educating development teams, business users, and senior leadership.Serve as deep technical experts and thought leaders that help accelerate adoption of the very best engineering practices, while maintaining knowledge on industry innovations, trends, and practices. Resolve conflicts between teams for complex technical areas.Build strong teams - set and evangelize vision, facilitate leadership, attract and retain key talent. Serve as a talent steward for the engineering organization and mentor rising leaders.Minimum RequirementsBS/MS in computer science or equivalent work experience. Significant design/architecture experience.10+ years' experience designing and leading architectural efforts for web, software or mobile applications.Experience with developing large cloud/SaaS services, big data, or analytics and machine learning.Boundaryless leadership experience: Applying the nuances of influencing based on the situation, knowing when to push and when to ease, driving through designs, ideas, and roadmaps.Seasoned and ambidextrous leadership - able to balance short and long, inspire and coach.Excellent communication skills: Demonstrated ability to present to all levels of leadership, including senior executives.Experience in conceptualizing, launching, and driving business and product strategies and multi-year roadmaps.Expertise with modern technology stacks, API design, microservices, public cloud and designing for resilience and operational excellence.Familiarity with FinTech and how technology can be used to solve problems in the personal finance space.Intuit provides a competitive compensation package with a strong pay for performance rewards approach. The expected base pay range for this position in the Bay Area, California is $297,000 - $405,000. This position will be eligible for a cash bonus, equity rewards, and benefits, in accordance with our applicable plans and programs. Pay offered is based on factors such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and work location. To drive ongoing pay equity for employees, Intuit conducts regular comparisons across categories of ethnicity and gender.
