Job Description The Warehouse Distribution Manager is an operation and team focused role created to assist in driving the growth and development of the Distribution Team, processes, systems, and tools. You will be assisting with the management duties for Arbitech and its subsidiaries from vendor relations through to the sales process. This person must be driven, resourceful, able to problem solve, think on your feet, be positive, energetic, roll up your sleeves attitude is a must, can plan-ahead, deal with unexpected changes, demonstrates a high level of personal initiative without constant supervision, has organizational, interpersonal, and teamwork skills. Responsibilities · Manage warehouse staff including scheduling, approving timecards, training, performance management, hiring and administering remedial measures.
· Plan, develop and implement organization policies and goals consistent with established company policies and procedures.
· Ensure the distribution team delivers efficient operations and meets distribution performance goals.
· Direct warehouse operations while driving productivity to maximize distribution capabilities and operational efficiencies.
· Ensure inventory maintains optimal levels by conducting physical counts and reconciling the data using internal systems.
· Analyze current processes and implement improvements.
· Troubleshoot issues within departments to ensure cohesion.
· Collaborate with the logistics manager on inbound and outbound volumes.
· Ensure health and safety standards are met
· Reports directly to the Operations Manager
· Manage overtime and work with the Human Resource department to ensure compliance with all applicable laws.
Experience - Needed · 5+ years' experience in warehouse distribution management
· Knowledge of warehousing, logistics, inventory systems and processes.
· Strong communication, written, and verbal skills with professional demeanor
· Able to work efficiently in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
· Ability to relate technical topics to non-technical individuals.
