Fulfillment Manager A global medical company seeks an experienced Fulfillment Manager to oversee the entire fulfillment process. This role encompasses managing order receipt, entry, administration, inventory procurement, and shipping operations. The Fulfillment Manager will lead a team of five—two Customer Service Representatives and three Distribution Associates—handling about 80 orders daily. In this position, quality and accuracy are paramount for medical product distribution, rather than high volume.
Key Responsibilities Oversees the order entry process and ensures customer serviceDevelop and enforce procedures, policies, and standards that provide customers with a high level of serviceGuide the Customer Service team in taking ownership of customer problemsEstablish and enforce internal and external communication protocols relating to customer inquiries, backorders, on-hold orders, standing orders, delayed ordersEstablish and enforce internal and external communication protocols relating to customer inquiries, backorders, on-hold orders, standingApproves/Releases Purchase Orders based on supplier's scheduleReviews inventory regularly to identify trends, minimize loss from product expirationManages relationships and negotiates with suppliers and freight forwardingReviews and approves supplier and freight invoicesCollects forecast from sales organization and incorporates into the purchasing scheduleOrganize the safe and efficient storage and distribution of goodsOptimizes warehouse including receiving, stocking, picking, packing, and shippingDevelops warehouse design by planning layout, product flow, and product handling systems to meet current and future needsPerforms routine inspection of assets to ensure accuracyHandles human resource: recruiting, selecting,training, scheduling, coaching,reviewing compensation; enforcing policies and proceduresPreferred Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field
Working knowledge of inventory management software (e.g., ERP)
Excellent knowledge of data analysis and forecasting methods
Experience managing people, including the ability to carry out personnel evaluations, set performance targets, engage new employees and identify and possibly deliver training.
Experience shipping medical or laboratory equipment a plus
Knowledge of FDA regulations related to medical device shipping a plus
Relevant qualifications (e.g., CPIM) will be a plus
