About the Job The PEL Division Directors will be required to elevate the performance of their teams, coach to new skills, knowledge, and behaviors, and raise the team's contributions in our new play to win elite approach. Coaching to this elite mindset and performance means the Division Directors will need to demonstrate these same skills. Division Directors will cross-functionally manage and communicate key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure success and impact (reported quarterly).

The new PELs reporting to the Division Directors will need to:

Build expertise for 7 brands, 5 therapeutic areas, engage in account strategy and planning with galaxy and constellation teams (monthly), understanding market conditions that impact the patient journey (i.e. payer, government, Pharma, industry, access), understanding rare competitive products, advising the cross-functional teams on the patient perspective, consider the account direction when making execution decisions, developing skill sets that will allow them to compliantly bring patient insights back to leadership, and engage in launch preparations with insights and expertise. The Division Director, Patient Education Liaisons is a key field-based member of the US Rare Diseases PSS organization. This leader is responsible for leading, coaching, and developing a high performing team of Patient Education Liaisons (PEL). In this capacity, this role will be responsible for building and overseeing regional business while managing all related Patient Education Liaison functions in a rapidly changing, fast-paced environment.

Main Responsibilities: Effectively lead, mentor, and coach a divisional team of Patient Education Liaisons to ensure their ongoing development, success and foster professional growth. Provide regular, constructive feedback, performance evaluations, and individualized coaching to enhance team members' problem-solving, patient interaction, and patient education skills. Identify team members' strengths and areas for growth, supporting personalized development plans to build skills and expertise. Consistently assess direct reports performance against established metrics, KPIs and objectives to drive employee growth and development through coaching. Foster an environment of continuous learning and professional growth through regular training sessions, workshops, and one-on-one coaching. Actively support and guide team members through complex patient cases, providing strategic direction and troubleshooting when needed. Cultivate a positive team environment that encourages collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement. Analyze market trends, identify educational opportunities, and develop strategies that align with business strategy and goals. Utilize in-depth knowledge of the healthcare landscape, including competitors, industry regulations, and emerging trends to build team strategies increasing patient education opportunities and engagement. Apply a high degree of business acumen utilizing data analytics to assess individual and regional performance, identify trends, evaluate program effectiveness, inform strategy, and drive continuous improvement. Support the execution, and coordination of patient and family education programs and materials across the assigned division. Work effectively with various cross-functional departments (e.g., field teams, marketing, medical, operations) to align patient education initiatives and activities with overall business strategies. Lead the building of a motivated and engaged team using formal and informal recognition, regular communications, and the encouragement of cooperation between individuals and teams. Identify, complete, execute and report on projects necessary to advance or improve business strategy, operations, financials, customer relationships, or matrix relationships. Manage and adhere to all company policies and Legal, Compliance and Regulatory guidelines. Uphold and exemplify Sanofi's core values through consistent demonstration of Play to Win behaviors. Must be able to travel within assigned regions to conduct field coaching, and to corporate office or internal meetings as needed (50%-75%). Minimum Requirements: Bachelor's Degree 3+ years of proven leadership and coaching teams, preferably in a healthcare or rare disease setting. Strong business acumen and strategic thinking skills. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Demonstrated ability to inspire and guide teams to achieve personal and professional growth while meeting organizational objectives. Experience in managing business operations and aligning team goals with business growth initiatives. Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, with strong problem-solving skills. Excellent communication, collaboration, and strategic planning abilities. Ability to adapt and foster a growth mindset in a shifting environment. Ability to travel extensively (50-75%) Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor degree, or other advanced medical or scientific degree preferred. Experience in biotechnology/pharmaceutical industry. The salary range for this position is $171,000.00 - $228,000.00 USD Annually. In addition to sales incentive (role may be eligible for long term incentive depending on level and performance); all compensation will be determined commensurate with demonstrated experience.
