Assist in food services by receiving donations, assisting with product storage and inventory control, running the dishwasher, serving, and general kitchen cleaning in a commercial setting to guests, volunteers and staff. This position is Monday - Friday, 10:30am to 7:00pm. FLSA: Full Time, Temp (90 days), non-exempt

• Work in full coordination with other WSM staff at all times to identify, report and respond appropriately to any potential threats to the safety and wellbeing of guests.
Role Specific Responsibilities
• Assist donors at food dock in a pleasant and courteous manner
• Receive product at the dock, use pallet jack or forklift to move product for proper storage
• Keep the dock area clean and organized, including fridges, freezer, restroom and shelves
• Assist the cooks with food prep and meal service in accordance with menu specifications and established food safety practices as directed by supervisor
• Ensure that proper sanitation and food safety procedures are followed during clean up
• Operates and clean various kitchen equipment
• In the absence of department supervision, maintain good order and discipline while on shift and report any violations in accordance with Mission and department policy
• Work in harmony with all staff modeling Christ-like character and conduct
• Perform other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience: High School Diploma or G.E.D required, general math competency, computer proficiency on databases and email communications, experience in a retail or food service industry preferred. Able to lift 50lbs, experience using a forklift is preferred. Willing to provide leadership to volunteers, excels in a fast-paced work environment, enjoys food service and working in a team environment. This position will work some holidays.
