The Dockworker, Warehousing is responsible for safely and efficiently unloading, sorting, handling, and loading freight in accordance with verbal and written instructions, as well as Federal, State, and customer regulations.

•Move freight, stock, or other materials to and from storage or production areas, loading docks, or delivery vehicles or containers by hand or using trucks, tractors, or other equipment.
•Read work orders or receive oral instructions to determine work assignments or material or equipment needs.
•Control and maintain all records required for accurate, on-time completion of shipments.
•Work in a team environment to accomplish work assignments.
•Periodically use computers, email, scanners, and the warehouse management system (WMS) to track inventory, create paperwork, or document reporting.
•Support and promote company core values.
•Regular attendance is required.
•Comply with company C-TPAT and TSA security procedures.
•Perform other duties as assigned.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES •Attention to detail and good follow-up skills.
•Ability to read and interpret general business documents; write routine reports and general business correspondence; work with peers and communicate basic concepts; solve practical problems through standardized solutions that require limited judgment; follow prescribed and detailed procedures to solve routine problems; work independently or in a team setting, in a fast-paced environment.
•Good judgment; knows when to escalate issues and when to try to resolve them.
•Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Word and Excel, as well as Internet, web-based, and job-specific software applications.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE •Minimum of a High School Diploma (or equivalent) and 0-2 years of experience.
