Job Title: Document Controller Location : Houston, TX (FULLY IN OFFICE) Industry : LNG, Oil & Gas, Energy Employment Type : Full-Time (W2 Contract with Benefits & PTO) Job Overview Join our dynamic team as a Document Controller, where you will play a crucial role in ensuring the fidelity and accuracy of project information by supporting and enforcing controlled processes. You will assist in the creation, capture, review, revision, issuance, distribution, retention, and ready access to key project documents and data. In this position, you will work closely with project contractors and internal teams to validate transmittal packages and deliverables and configure workflows within our electronic document management system (EDMS). Key Responsibilities Validate, capture, and track project transmittals, deliverables, and records within the EDMS Configure and monitor project document review workflows, supporting project reviewers as needed Provide end-user support, troubleshooting document control processes and EDMS issues Coordinate user onboarding, access setup, and account permissions approvals Collaborate with project management, the Information Management Manager, and contractor counterparts to manage deliverables and project compliance Support configuration and deployment of workflow templates and distribution groups Ensure documentation meets project contract requirements, procedures, and company policies Work with IT and contractors to address API and integration disruptions as needed Review and validate data within project KPI dashboards, assisting in discrepancy resolution Perform additional duties as assigned Qualifications Education : High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor's Degree in Business, Information Management, IT, or Applied Sciences preferred Experience : 3+ years in Engineering Project Document Control and EDMS administration (required) Document Control experience in LNG, Oil & Gas, or Energy (preferred) Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, SharePoint Online, and O365 (intermediate) Experience with .pdf, AutoCAD, .csv file formats, EDMS, and data entry (intermediate) Basic understanding of Document Control principles and the Project Information Lifecycle Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills with initiative to work independently and with diverse teams Certifications Certified Document Controller (Consepsys) (required) Aconex Accredited Associate (required) Business Process Management Specialist (AIIM) (preferred) Modern Records Management Specialist (AIIM) (preferred) Physical Requirements Office environment with occasional bending, squatting, kneeling, twisting, climbing, and light lifting or carrying up to 10 lbs Brunel is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
