Position Overview: We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Business Development Manager with an exceptional track record in Department of Defense (DoD) sales. This individual will play a critical role in identifying and capturing strategic business opportunities within the DoD sector, leveraging their extensive network and knowledge of the defense market. The ideal candidate will be a results-driven professional with a deep understanding of DoD procurement processes, customer requirements, and competitive dynamics. This position offers 2-3 days of remote work each week.
\n Responsibilities:Strategic Planning and Market Analysis:Develop and execute comprehensive business development strategies to achieve growth in DoD markets.Analyze market trends, customer requirements, and competitive landscape to identify business opportunities.Provide insights and recommendations to leadership for shaping company objectives in the defense sector.Opportunity Identification and Capture:Identify, qualify, and prioritize DoD opportunities in alignment with the company's capabilities and goals.Lead the capture process, including bid/no-bid decisions, proposal development, and customer engagement.Establish and maintain relationships with key decision-makers, program managers, and acquisition officials within DoD agencies.Customer Relationship Management:Act as the primary point of contact for DoD customers, fostering long-term partnerships.Understand customer mission needs and translate them into actionable business solutions.Ensure customer satisfaction throughout the business development and contract lifecycle.Cross-Functional Collaboration:Partner with engineering, operations, and program management teams to align technical capabilities with customer requirements.Work closely with contracts, legal, and finance teams to develop compliant and competitive proposals.Serve as a liaison between internal stakeholders and external partners, including subcontractors and industry collaborators.Performance Metrics and Reporting:Track, analyze, and report on business development activities, pipeline progress, and sales performance.Ensure accurate forecasting of revenue and opportunities.
\n$200,000 - $250,000 a year
Salary range reflects base salary.
