Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated Donated Goods/Retail Associate to join our team. As a Donated Goods/Retail Associate, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our retail store and donation center. Your primary role will be to assist customers, process donations, and support store operations. The ideal candidate should be friendly, customer-oriented and have excellent communication skills.
Responsibilities:
- Greet and assist customers in a friendly and professional manner
- Maintain a clean and organized store environment
- Process donations and sort and display items for sale
- Price items accurately and create attractive displays
- Provide information to customers about products, promotions, and the organization's mission
- Operate cash register and handle financial transactions accurately
- Assist with inventory management, including restocking and cycle counts
- Collaborate with team members to achieve sales goals
- Assist with donation pickups, load and unload trucks as needed
- Follow all safety and security protocols
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Prior experience in a retail, customer service, or donation center environment preferred
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to create a welcoming and positive environment for customers
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team-based environment
- Basic math skills for cash handling and pricing items
- Detail-oriented and organized
- Ability to lift and carry objects weighing up to 50 lbs
- Flexibility to work weekends and holidays as needed
