Job Description Drafter Salary: $30-$35/hr DOE Location: Spring Valley, NY 10977 On-site Industry: DoD/Engineering Shift: M-F 8AM-5PM Requirements: High school diploma is required, advanced degree a plus.
5-8 years or relevant drafting experience.
Must be proficient in computer-aided design (CAD) software like AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or Revit Must understand drafting standards and documentation practices.
Need to be able to communicate with clients via email and phone.
Need to know construction, engineering, surveying, and design techniques.
It s highly preferred that candidates have experience working for utility companies or transmission and distribution infrastructure projects.
Duties:Need to be precise and create accurate plans that are free of errors.
Need to be able to convert concepts into detailed drawings.
Support the client s existing drafting group.
Responsible for completing drafting tasks that the client drafting department will delegate.
Communicate with client s representative, engineers, and co-workers.
