In this role, you will be responsible for carrying out transportation programs according to the recreation calendar and the directions of the Transportation Director. These responsibilities include but are not limited to, preparing for, setting up and cleaning up after programs, recruiting program participants, maintaining resident participation and resident interest records, understanding and promoting concierge services and positive resident and guest relations and communication. Maintains positive professional relations with employees, residents and family members. The Driver reports directly to our Concierge Director who oversees day to day operations of the community's Concierge department.Responsibilities…Ensure transportation occurs timely and as schedule per the calendar, and appointment as directed by the Transportation Director.Utilize an energetic approach when communicating with residents.Ensure resident transportation schedule is carried out routinely and effectively.Get acquainted with every resident and complete resident interest survey to be able to better plan programs.Concierge Services as provided for Transportation and Social EventsRequired…At least one year of event planning, hospitality or senior living experience or equivalent experience and education.Knowledge of local community resources, vendors, and potential coverage for specific areas of cultural guild.Exhibits an energetic demeanor with a caring, compassionate attitude.Ability to direct, supervise and coordinate the work of others and motivate for positive performance.Possesses sound organizational and time management skills.Possesses good judgment, problem solving and decision-making skills.Ability to utilize the computer and related software programs.Ability to work schedules as warranted by activities, events, and transportation needs.Possesses a valid Commercial Drivers License with a passenger "p" endorsement.Professional appearance and attitude.All general staffing requirements:Free of communicable diseaseAble to physically/mentally perform tasksCriminal record clearanceAbility to read, write, speak, and understand EnglishGeneral understanding of the needs of the seniorsWillingness to learnPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Must be able to sit for long periods of time.
